Bonhams costume sale - 24th February 2010

In a few of weeks time there is another costume sale at Bonhams in Knightsbridge, this time selling off a vast number of items which have featured in the various exhibitions that have been held around the country.

Since I covered the previous auctions at Bonhams on the 16th June 2009 and 16th December 2009, I felt I should do the same for this, but because there are SO many items on offer, I have split them up by Doctor.

Here are just the lots relating to the Tenth Doctor era
The most fascinating thing about their descriptions is the notation of the clothing labels, which once and for all explain the origins of where they came from.
A lot of the items had been identified by eagle-eyed members of the forums, but this now fills in a lot of the gaps.

To know that The Doctor gets his shirts from John Lewis (Lot 47), or his tuxedo from Paul Smith (Lot 17), long before the Eleventh Doctor shopped there, is perversely curious to know.

  2. Thanks for keeping us apprised of the Who auctions! I've just registered at Bonham's online to leave a pre-bid for a couple of the lots. It is good to have the spending power of a single adult.
